URGENT: MSDNAA Office 2007 UPDATE REQUIRED

Microsoft notice: Attention MSDNAA Customers who are accessing Office 2007 software and/or product keys from Subscriber Downloads: Due to incompatibilities that were uncovered between the Office 2007 software on Subscriber Download site and the keys provided through separate customer portals for Microsoft Partners and Volume Licensing customers, the bits and keys on Subscriber Downloads site: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/default.aspx
needed to be replaced. During the months of May and June 2007, the Office 2007 applications software and product keys previously available on Subscriber Downloads were removed and replaced with new versions.

Therefore based on this news, all Office 2007 keys in ELMS will need to be replaced and you will be required to update your current Office 2007 files ASAP.  E-academy has put a roll out plan in order to help you update these files and minimize the work effort on your end. Please note that the following products require immediate updates:

32bit – Office 2007 Applications
Office Access 2007
Office Groove 2007
Office InfoPath 2007
Office OneNote 2007
Office SharePoint Designer 2007

Roll out plan:

1. On Monday September 3rd, all the products listed above will be temporarily disabled from your ELMS systems. During this time e-academy will replace the old files with the latest versions of Office 2007 and we will update our key inventory accordingly.

2. For those using Campus Hosted Download delivery, we ask you to go to the following FTP site ftp://ftp.e-academy.com/msdnaa/download/office2007 where you can obtain the latest version of the office 2007 (.sdc ) package. Next we ask that you immediately delete the previous version of the file.

3. For those who have burned copies of these Office products or have the files saved for distribution, we ask that you go to the subscriber download site immediately to download the latest version. Subscriber Download site: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/default.aspx
